Fans at Thursday's non-league challenge between the Bangor Slaters (Bangor, PA) and the visiting Southern Lehigh Spartans (Center Valley, PA), saw Bangor's basketball squad knock off Southern Lehigh by a tally of 44-30.

With the victory, Bangor improves its record to 10-4 on the campaign. The Slaters host Wilson Area (Easton, PA) to play the Warriors in a Colonial - East challenge on Saturday, January 20. The Warriors come into the challenge with a record of 0-2.

Next up, the Spartans play the Catasauqua Rough Riders (Catasauqua, PA) in a Colonial - North challenge, on Monday, January 22. Southern Lehigh will attempt to improve on its 1-2 season record.
