Bixby Spartans (Bixby, OK) backers were pleased Thursday as they saw their basketball squad hold off the visiting Midwest City Bombers (Midwest City, OK), 68-64 in a non-league bout.

With the victory, Bixby upgrades its record to 8-4 on the campaign. The Spartans host Moore (Moore, OK) to play the Lions in a non-league bout on Friday, January 19. The Lions come into the bout with a record of 5-7. Moore lost 61-56 in their recent non-league bout against Owasso (Owasso, OK)

Next up, the Bombers play the Choctaw Yellowjackets (Choctaw, OK) in a non-league bout, on Friday, January 19. Midwest City will attempt to upgrade on its 11-2 season record. The Yellowjackets come into the bout with a 12-0 record after their 56-42 non-league win over Millwood (Oklahoma City, OK).
