Scotus Shamrocks (Columbus, NE) backers were pleased Thursday as they saw their basketball squad bounce the host Boone Central Cardinals (Albion, NE), 44-17 in a non-league bout.

With the victory, Scotus upgrades its record to 9-5 on the campaign. The Shamrocks travel to Archbishop Bergan (Fremont, NE) to play the Knights in a non-league bout on Friday, January 19. The Knights come into the bout with a record of 9-4. Archbishop Bergan won 40-26 in their recent non-league bout against Lincoln Lutheran (Lincoln, NE)

Next up, the Cardinals play the Ord Chanticleers (Ord, NE) in a non-league bout, on Friday, January 19. Boone Central will attempt to upgrade on its 6-7 season record. The Chanticleers come into the bout with a 6-6 record after their 56-40 non-league loss to Adams Central (Hastings, NE).
