In Thursday's non-league match, the host Brentwood Spartans basketball team scored a good 45-25 triumph over the East Allegheny Wild Cats.
In their next game, the Spartans meet the Washington Prexies (Washington, PA) in a non-league match, on Monday, January 22. Brentwood will attempt to move on its 3-7 season record. The Prexies enter the match with a 7-8 record after their 51-23 non-league loss to Waynesburg Central (Waynesburg, PA).
With the defeat, East Allegheny moves to 0-13 on the year. The Wild cats travel to Carlynton (Carnegie, PA) to meet the Cougars in a non-league match on Monday, January 22. The Cougars enter the match with a record of 4-10. Carlynton lost 53-12 in their recent league match against Burgettstown (Burgettstown, PA)
