The West Greene Pioneers basketball team scored 45 points and held the visiting Carmichaels Mighty Mikes to 10 in the Pioneers non-league triumph on Thursday.

The Pioneers now sport a 5-8 record. They put it on the line next when they host Fort Cherry for a non-league contest on Monday, January 22. West Greene will battle a Rangers team coming off a 71-38 non-league win over McGuffey (Claysville, PA). The Rangers record now stands at 10-3.

The Mighty Mikes (2-12) will now prepare for their contest against California (Coal Center, PA). The Trojans enter the WPIAL 2A 4 contest with a 7-7 record. In their last contest, California was routed by Clairton (Clairton, PA), 75-36, in a non-league contest.
