The Newton Local Indians basketball team scored 32 points and held the host Franklin Monroe Jets to 20 in the Indians league triumph on Thursday.
The Indians now sport a 8-7 record. They put it on the line next when they host Cedarville for a non-league contest on Monday, January 22. Newton Local will meet a Indians team coming off a 51-46 league win over Greeneview (Jamestown, OH). The Indians record now stands at 9-5.
The Jets (5-8) will now prepare for their contest against Dunbar (Dayton, OH). The Wolverines enter the non-league contest with a 3-10 record. In their last contest, Dunbar was defeated by St. Francis DeSales (Columbus, OH), 84-17, in a non-league contest.
