Virginia High School Basketball - Walsingham Academy thwarts Isle of Wight Academy

The Walsingham Academy Trojans (Williamsburg, VA) basketball knocked off the visiting Isle of Wight Academy Chargers (Isle of Wight, VA), 62-42 in Thursday's non-league test.
The Trojans (3-6) will now prepare for their test against Peninsula Catholic (Newport News, VA). The Knights go into the VISAA Division II test with a 0-6 record. In their last test, Peninsula Catholic went down by Hampton Roads Academy (Newport News, VA), 62-11, in a league test.
The Chargers now own a 7-2 record. They play next when they host Broadwater Academy for a non-league test on Monday, January 22. Isle of Wight Academy will encounter a Vikings squad coming off a 58-42 non-league loss to Nandua (Onley, VA). The Vikings record now stands at 6-6.
