McCool Junction Mustangs (McCool Junction, NE) backers were pleased Thursday as they saw their basketball squad knock off the visiting Osceola Bulldogs (Osceola, NE), 54-35 in a non-league bout.

With the victory, McCool Junction upgrades its record to 9-3 on the campaign. The Mustangs travel to East Butler (Brainard, NE) to play the Tigers in a non-league bout on Tuesday, January 30. The Tigers come into the bout with a record of 6-7.

Next up, the Bulldogs play the Bruning-Davenport/Shickley Eagles (Bruning, NE) in a non-league bout, on Tuesday, January 30. Osceola will attempt to upgrade on its 8-4 season record. The Eagles come into the bout with a 4-9 record after their 40-31 non-league loss to Meridian (Daykin, NE).
