North Woods grizzlies (Cook, MN) backers were in high spirits Thursday as they witnessed their basketball squad bounce the host Nashwauk-Keewatin Spartans (Nashwauk, MN), 64-39 in a league bout.

With the win, North Woods upgrades its record to 9-7 on the season. The grizzlies host Barnum (Barnum, MN) to play the Bombers in a non-league bout on Monday, January 29. The Bombers go into the bout with a record of 6-10.

Next up, the Spartans play the Hill City/Northland (Hill City, MN) in a A Section 7 bout, on Tuesday, January 23. Nashwauk-Keewatin will attempt to upgrade on its 2-12 season record. The go into the bout with a 8-8 record after their 70-35 league win over Fond du Lac Ojibwe Ogichida (Cloquet, MN).
