Fans at Thursday's league challenge between the Platte County Pirates (Platte City, MO) and the visiting Winnetonka Griffins (Kansas City, MO), saw Platte County's basketball squad knock off Winnetonka by a count of 54-42.

With the victory, Platte County upgrades its record to 10-3 on the campaign. The Pirates host Chrisman (Independence, MO) to play the Bears in a non-league challenge on Monday, January 22. The Bears come into the challenge with a record of 4-11.

Next up, the Griffins play the Raymore-Peculiar Panthers (Peculiar, MO) in a non-league challenge, on Tuesday, January 23. Winnetonka will attempt to upgrade on its 7-6 season record.
