California Grizzlies (San Ramon, CA) fans were pleased Thursday as they observed their soccer team hold off the visiting Granada Matadors (Livermore, CA), 2-1 in a league challenge.

Next, the Grizzlies confront the Clayton Valley Charter Ugly Eagles (Concord, CA) in a non-league challenge, on Saturday, January 20. California will attempt to better on its 7-3 season record. The Ugly Eagles enter the challenge with a 4-1 record after their 6-0 league win over Miramonte (Orinda, CA).

The Matadors now have a 2-3 record. They take the field next when they host Monte Vista for a challenge on Tuesday, January 30.
