The crowd at Saturday's league challenge between the Anacortes Seahawks (Anacortes, WA) and the visiting Mt. Baker Mountaineers (Deming, WA), observed Anacortes's basketball team overcome Mt. Baker by a margin of 60-45.

The Seahawks (11-2) will now prepare for their challenge against Lynden Christian (Lynden, WA). The Lyncs come into the 1A/2A/3A Northwest challenge with a 13-1 record. In their last challenge, Lynden Christian defeated Squalicum (Bellingham, WA), 80-52, in a league challenge.

In their next game, the Mountaineers battle the Nooksack Valley Pioneers (Everson, WA) in a 1A/2A/3A Northwest challenge, on Wednesday, January 22. Mt. Baker will attempt to better on its 7-7 season record. The Pioneers come into the challenge with a 7-5 record after their 76-35 league win over Blaine (Blaine, WA).
