Illinois High School Basketball - PORTA/Ashland-Chandlerville Central victorious over Brown County

In Saturday's non-league contest, the host PORTA/Ashland-Chandlerville Central Bluejays basketball team scored a good 56-38 triumph over the Brown County Hornets.

The Bluejays (14-4) will now prepare for their contest against Illini Central (Mason City, IL). The Cougars go into the Tomahawk contest with a 12-6 record. In their last contest, Illini Central topped Havana (Havana, IL), 61-47, in a non-league contest.

In their next game, the Hornets battle the Triopia/Meredosia-Chambersburg/Virginia Trojans (Concord, IL) in a Western Illinois Valley contest, on Tuesday, January 21. Brown County will attempt to better on its 13-7 season record. The Trojans go into the contest with a 8-7 record after their 63-27 non-league loss to Routt Catholic (Jacksonville, IL).
