The crowd at Saturday's non-league challenge between the Byron Tigers (Byron, IL) and the host Prince of Peace Prep Irish (Clinton, IA), observed Byron's basketball team overcome Prince of Peace Prep by a score of 79-62.

The Tigers (12-4) will now prepare for their challenge against Lutheran (Rockford, IL). The Crusaders come into the non-league challenge with a 9-10 record. In their last challenge, Lutheran defeated North Boone (Poplar Grove, IL), 78-54, in a league challenge.

In their next game, the Irish battle the Marquette Defenders (Bellevue, IA) in a Tri-Rivers challenge, on Tuesday, January 21. Prince of Peace Prep will attempt to improve on its 8-5 season record. The Defenders come into the challenge with a 13-0 record after their 71-66 league win over Lisbon (Lisbon, IA).
