Georgia High School Basketball - Cairo knocks off Miller County

In Saturday's non-league contest, the visiting Cairo Syrupmakers basketball team scored a good 65-53 win over the Miller County Pirates.
The Syrupmakers (4-13) will now prepare for their contest against Monroe (Albany, GA). The Golden Tornadoes come into the AAA Region 1 match with a 11-8 record.
In their next game, the Pirates battle the Pataula Charter Academy Panthers (Edison, GA) in a A D2 Region 1 contest, on Friday, January 24. Miller County will attempt to better on its 3-11 season record. The Panthers go into the contest with a 5-13 record after their 57-45 league loss to Seminole County (Donalsonville, GA).
