In Saturday's non-league test, the Carlsbad Cavemen/Cavegirls (Carlsbad, NM) basketball squad defeated the visiting Centennial Hawks (Las Cruces, NM), by a final score of 54-46.
Next, the Cavemen/Cavegirls clash with the Lovington Wildcats (Lovington, NM) in a non-league test, on Tuesday, January 21. Carlsbad will attempt to upgrade on its 12-5 season record. The Wildcats come into the test with a 11-7 record after their 59-43 non-league loss to Roswell (Roswell, NM).
The Hawks (4-11) will now prepare for their test against Alamogordo (Alamogordo, NM). The Tigers come into the 5A District 3 test with a 8-8 record. In their last test, Alamogordo went down by Portales (Portales, NM), 66-64, in a non-league test.
