The Continental Pirates (Continental, OH) basketball edged the host Hilltop Cadets (West Unity, OH), 53-49 in Saturday's non-league bout.
The Pirates now possess a 1-13 record. They play next when they host Miller City for a Putnam County bout on Friday, January 24. Continental will play a Wildcats team coming off a 62-52 non-league win over Ayersville (Defiance, OH). The Wildcats record now stands at 12-3.
With the loss, Hilltop falls to 6-8 on the campaign. The Cadets travel to Montpelier (Montpelier, OH) to play the Locomotives in a Buckeye Border bout on Friday, January 24. The Locomotives enter the outing with a record of 11-2. Montpelier won 45-42 in their recent non-league outing against Edgerton (Edgerton, OH)
