In Saturday's non-league test, the Gibbon-Fairfax-Winthrop Thunderbirds (Winthrop, MN) basketball squad trounced the visiting Red Rock Central Falcons (Lamberton, MN), by a score of 70-35.
Next, the Thunderbirds encounter the Cedar Mountain Cougars (Morgan, MN) in a A Section 2 test, on Tuesday, January 21. Gibbon-Fairfax-Winthrop will attempt to improve on its 7-8 season record. The Cougars come into the test with a 13-0 record after their 88-81 non-league win over Windom (Windom, MN).
The Falcons (2-11) will now prepare for their test against Murray County Central (Slayton, MN). The Rebels come into the A Section 3 test with a 9-5 record.
