In Saturday's non-league contest, the host Haverford Fords basketball team scored a good 51-39 triumph over the Great Valley Patriots.
The Fords (7-8) will now prepare for their contest against Marple Newtown (Newtown Square, PA). The Fightin' Tigers go into the Central contest with a 9-4 record. In their last contest, Marple Newtown topped Conestoga (Berwyn, PA), 54-53, in a league contest.
In their next game, the Patriots battle the Sun Valley Vanguards (Aston, PA) in a Ches-Mont - American contest, on Tuesday, January 21. Great Valley will attempt to better on its 12-5 season record. The Vanguards go into the contest with a 13-3 record after their 50-23 non-league win over Freire Charter (Philadelphia, PA).
