Nebraska High School Basketball - Sandhills Valley holds off Hyannis

The Sandhills Valley Mavericks basketball team scored 36 points and limited the host Hyannis Longhorns to 29 in the Mavericks non-league triumph on Saturday.

The Mavericks now have a 7-3 record. They play next when they travel to Sandhills/Thedford for a non-league game on Tuesday, January 21. Sandhills Valley will confront a Knights team coming off a 49-38 non-league win over Maywood/Hayes Center (Maywood, NE). The Knights record now stands at 6-6.

With the loss, Hyannis falls to 6-5 on the campaign. The Longhorns host Crawford (Crawford, NE) to confront the Rams in a non-league game on Friday, January 31. The Rams go into the game with a record of 5-5. Crawford lost 46-23 in their recent non-league game against Mitchell (Mitchell, NE)
