Georgia High School Basketball - North Gwinnett nips Lanier

In Saturday's non-league contest, the visiting North Gwinnett Bulldogs basketball team scored a close 52-51 triumph over the Lanier Longhorns.
The Bulldogs (6-13) will now prepare for their contest against Peachtree Ridge (Suwanee, GA). The Lions go into the AAAAAA Region 7 contest with a 11-9 record. In their last contest, Peachtree Ridge nipped Duluth (Duluth, GA), 56-48, in a league contest.
In their next game, the Longhorns battle the Johns Creek Gladiators (Johns Creek, GA) in a AAAAA Region 7 contest, on Tuesday, January 21. Lanier will attempt to better on its 10-10 season record. The Gladiators go into the contest with a 12-7 record after their 61-49 league win over Chattahoochee (Alpharetta, GA).
