The crowd at Saturday's league challenge between the Sleepy Eye Indians (Sleepy Eye, MN) and the visiting Martin County West Mavericks (Sherburn, MN), observed Sleepy Eye's basketball team overcome Martin County West by a score of 69-56.

The Indians (7-9) will now prepare for their challenge against Lester Prairie (Lester Prairie, MN). The Bulldogs come into the A Section 2 challenge with a 5-10 record. In their last challenge, Lester Prairie dropped by Cedar Mountain (Morgan, MN), 57-51, in a league challenge.

In their next game, the Mavericks battle the Nicollet Raiders (Nicollet, MN) in a A Section 2 challenge, on Tuesday, January 21. Martin County West will attempt to improve on its 4-12 season record. The Raiders come into the challenge with a 4-9 record after their 76-63 league loss to Cleveland (Cleveland, MN).
