In Saturday's non-league test, the McLean County Cougars (Calhoun, KY) basketball squad defeated the visiting Union County Braves (Morganfield, KY), by a final score of 72-55.
Next, the Cougars clash with the Ohio County Eagles (Hartford, KY) in a District 10 test, on Friday, January 24. McLean County will attempt to upgrade on its 11-5 season record.
The Braves (7-5) will now prepare for their test against Crittenden County (Marion, KY). The Rockets enter the non-league match with a 0-13 record. In their last match, Crittenden County was dropped by Livingston Central (Smithland, KY), 93-60, in a league match.
