The crowd at Saturday's non-league challenge between the Northgate Vikings (Newnan, GA) and the host Temple Tigers (Temple, GA), observed Northgate's basketball team overcome Temple by a score of 64-56.

The Vikings (10-7) will now prepare for their challenge against Newnan (Newnan, GA). The Cougars come into the AAAAA Region 3 challenge with a 14-4 record. In their last challenge, Newnan defeated Creekside (Fairburn, GA), 70-45, in a non-league challenge.

In their next game, the Tigers battle the Pepperell Dragons (Lindale, GA) in a A D1 Region 6 challenge, on Tuesday, January 21. Temple will attempt to improve on its 14-4 season record. The Dragons come into the challenge with a 1-18 record after their 71-47 league loss to Bremen (Bremen, GA).
