The Umatilla Vikings basketball team scored 61 points and limited the visiting Pendleton Buckaroos to 50 in the Vikings non-league triumph on Saturday.

The Vikings now possess a 11-5 record. They play next when they host Nyssa for a 3A Eastern Oregon game on Friday, January 24. Umatilla will confront a Bulldogs team coming off a 61-50 league loss to Burns (Burns, OR). The Bulldogs record now stands at 11-7.

With the loss, Pendleton falls to 6-11 on the campaign. The Buckaroos host McLoughlin (Milton-Freewater, OR) to confront the Pioneers in a non-league game on Tuesday, January 21. The Pioneers go into the game with a record of 5-9. McLoughlin lost 66-46 in their recent league game against Riverside (Boardman, OR)
