The Rappahannock Raiders were victorious over the visiting Surry County Cougars basketball squad by a final score of 57-45 in Saturday's non-league outing.
Next, the Raiders face the Northumberland Indians (Heathsville, VA) in a Northern Neck outing, on Tuesday, January 21. Rappahannock will attempt to upgrade on its 1-6 season record. The Indians enter the outing with a 5-2 record after their 77-67 league win over Colonial Beach (Colonial Beach, VA).
The Cougars (0-14) will now prepare for their outing against Essex (Tappahannock, VA). The Trojans enter the non-league outing with a 3-2 record. In their last outing, Essex was defeated by Lancaster (Lancaster, VA), 53-46, in a league outing.
