Riverdale Falcons (Mt. Blanchard, OH) supporters left the game happy Saturday as they witnessed their basketball squad hold off the host Waynesfield-Goshen Tigers (Waynesfield, OH), 44-41 in a non-league match.
With the victory, Riverdale advances its record to 9-7 on the year. The Falcons host Van Buren (Van Buren, OH) to meet the Black Knights in a Blanchard Valley match on Friday, January 24. The Black Knights enter the match with a record of 8-6.
The Tigers now own a 1-11 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Cory-Rawson for a Northwest Central match on Friday, January 24. Waynesfield-Goshen will meet a Fighting Hornets squad coming off a 53-39 league win over Elgin (Marion, OH). The Fighting Hornets record now stands at 1-12.
