In Saturday's non-league contest, the host Wapsie Valley Warriors basketball team scored a big 70-40 triumph over the Waukon Indians.
The Warriors (6-6) will now prepare for their contest against Turkey Valley (Jackson Junction, IA). The Trojans go into the non-league contest with a 6-8 record. In their last contest, Turkey Valley was trounced by Kee (Lansing, IA), 61-28, in a league contest.
In their next game, the Indians battle the Independence Mustangs (Independence, IA) in a non-league contest, on Monday, January 20. Waukon will attempt to better on its 6-6 season record. The Mustangs go into the contest with a 7-7 record after their 72-58 non-league win over Sumner-Fredericksburg (Sumner, IA).
