In Saturday's non-league contest, the visiting Whiteoak Wildcats basketball team scored a close 51-48 triumph over the Wellston Golden Rockets.
The Wildcats (5-8) will now prepare for their contest against West Union (West Union, OH). The Dragons go into the Southern Hills contest with a 2-6 record.
In their next game, the Golden Rockets confront the Ross County Christian Academy Eagles (Chillicothe, OH) in a non-league contest, on Tuesday, January 21. Wellston will attempt to better on its 2-10 season record. The Eagles go into the contest with a 8-6 record after their 68-65 non-league loss to Fairfield Christian Academy (Lancaster, OH).
