The Junipero Serra Padres (San Mateo, CA) basketball edged the visiting Palo Alto Vikings (Palo Alto, CA), 51-44 in Saturday's non-league bout.
The Padres now possess a 9-0 record. They play next when they travel to Archbishop Riordan for a bout on Tuesday, February 4.
With the loss, Palo Alto falls to 16-7 on the campaign. The Vikings host American (Fremont, CA) to play the Eagles in a non-league bout on Monday, January 20. The Eagles go into the bout with a record of 12-2. American won 52-46 in their recent league bout against Moreau Catholic (Hayward, CA)
