Anacortes Seahawks (Anacortes, WA) supporters left the game satisfied Saturday as they witnessed their basketball squad nudge the host Mt. Baker Mountaineers (Deming, WA), 38-36 in a league match.
With the victory, Anacortes advances its record to 10-3 on the year. The Seahawks host Lynden Christian (Lynden, WA) to face the Lyncs in a 1A/2A/3A Northwest match on Wednesday, January 22. The Lyncs enter the match with a record of 12-2. Lynden Christian won 73-29 in their recent league match against Squalicum (Bellingham, WA)
The Mountaineers now own a 6-7 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Nooksack Valley for a 1A/2A/3A Northwest match on Wednesday, January 22. Mt. Baker will face a Pioneers squad coming off a 57-50 non-league win over Cascade (Leavenworth, WA). The Pioneers record now stands at 9-5.
