Ohio High School Basketball - Athens overwhelms Notre Dame

January 18, 2025: The Plains, OH 45780

The Athens Bulldogs basketball team scored 54 points and limited the visiting Notre Dame Titans to 30 in the Bulldogs non-league triumph on Saturday.

The Bulldogs now possess a 11-2 record. They play next when they host Federal Hocking for a non-league game on Monday, January 20. Athens will confront a Lancers team coming off a 59-45 non-league loss to Chippewa (Doylestown, OH). The Lancers record now stands at 10-5.

With the loss, Notre Dame falls to 7-5 on the campaign. The Titans host Clay (Portsmouth, OH) to confront the Panthers in a Southern Ohio I game on Thursday, January 23. The Panthers go into the game with a record of 9-4.
