The Overton Eagles (Overton, NE) basketball toppled the visiting Bertrand Vikings (Bertrand, NE), 49-35 in Saturday's league contest.

The Eagles (9-5) will now prepare for their contest against Hi-Line [Eustis-Farnam/Elwood] (Eustis, NE). The go into the non-league contest with a 2-11 record. In their last contest, Hi-Line [Eustis-Farnam/Elwood] was toppled by Arapahoe (Arapahoe, NE), 61-44, in a non-league contest.

In their next game, the Vikings confront the Maywood/Hayes Center Wolves (Maywood, NE) in a non-league contest, on Tuesday, January 21. Bertrand will attempt to better on its 6-8 season record. The Wolves go into the contest with a 13-2 record after their 50-25 non-league win over Sandhills/Thedford (Dunning, NE).
