California High School Basketball - Birmingham nips Lynwood

The crowd at Saturday's non-league challenge between the Birmingham Patriots (Lake Balboa, CA) and the host Lynwood Knights (Lynwood, CA), observed Birmingham's basketball team edge Lynwood by a score of 67-62.

The Patriots (14-6) will now prepare for their challenge against Cleveland (Reseda, CA). The Cavaliers come into the West Valley challenge with a 5-11 record. In their last challenge, Cleveland was tipped by Granada Hills Charter (Granada Hills, CA), 62-40, in a league challenge.

In their next game, the Knights battle the Rosary Academy Royals (Fullerton, CA) in a non-league challenge, on Monday, January 20. Lynwood will attempt to improve on its 9-12 season record. The Royals come into the challenge with a 12-8 record after their 53-42 league loss to St. Margaret's (San Juan Capistrano, CA).
