Kentucky High School Basketball - Garrard County thwarts Mercer County

January 18, 2025: Lancaster, KY 40444

The crowd at Saturday's non-league challenge between the Garrard County Golden Lions (Lancaster, KY) and the visiting Mercer County Titans (Harrodsburg, KY), observed Garrard County's basketball team knock off Mercer County by a score of 80-68.

The Golden Lions (7-5) will now prepare for their challenge against Danville (Danville, KY). The Admirals come into the District 45 challenge with a 6-8 record. In their last challenge, Danville was knocked off by Boyle County (Danville, KY), 56-44, in a league challenge.

In their next game, the Titans encounter the Christian Academy-Louisville Centurions (Louisville, KY) in a non-league challenge, on Monday, January 20. Mercer County will attempt to improve on its 4-12 season record. The Centurions come into the challenge with a 2-11 record after their 64-29 non-league loss to North Hardin (Radcliff, KY).
