The Hornets (16-0) will now prepare for their challenge against Murtaugh (Murtaugh, ID). The Red Devils come into the 2A Snake River challenge with a 8-9 record. In their last challenge, Murtaugh was knocked off by Butte County (Arco, ID), 58-21, in a non-league challenge.

In their next game, the Senators encounter the Buhl Indians (Buhl, ID) in a 4A Southern Idaho challenge, on Tuesday, January 21. Gooding will attempt to improve on its 8-8 season record. The Indians come into the challenge with a 3-14 record after their 41-39 league loss to Filer (Filer, ID).
