Arkansas High School Basketball - Izard County knocks off Marked Tree

In Saturday's non-league contest, the host Izard County Cougars basketball team scored a good 46-35 win over the Marked Tree Indians.

The Cougars (14-4) will now prepare for their contest against Sloan-Hendrix (Imboden, AR). The Greyhounds come into the 2A Region 2 contest with a 23-2 record. In their last contest, Sloan-Hendrix defeated Mammoth Spring (Mammoth Spring, AR), 66-32, in a league contest.

In their next game, the Indians battle the KIPP Blytheville Thunder (Blytheville, AR) in a 1A Region 3 contest, on Monday, January 20. Marked Tree will attempt to better on its 16-4 season record.
