Georgia High School Basketball - Veterans can't get by Jones County

The Veterans Warhawks basketball squad (Kathleen, GA), was nudged 49-43 in Saturday's non-league battle with the host Jones County Greyhounds (Gray, GA)

With the victory, Jones County advances its record to 17-1 on the year. The Greyhounds host Ola (McDonough, GA) to meet the Mustangs in a AAAA Region 2 battle on Tuesday, January 21. The Mustangs enter the battle with a record of 12-5. Ola won 66-32 in their recent league battle against Eagle's Landing (McDonough, GA)

The Warhawks now own a 12-7 record. They put it on the line next when they host Lee County for a AAAAA Region 2 battle on Tuesday, January 21. Veterans will meet a Trojans squad coming off a 51-27 non-league win over Bainbridge (Bainbridge, GA). The Trojans record now stands at 14-6.
