The crowd at Saturday's non-league challenge between the Mesa Vista Trojans (Ojo Caliente, NM) and the visiting Los Alamos Hilltoppers (Los Alamos, NM), observed Mesa Vista's basketball team overcome Los Alamos by a score of 59-41.

The Trojans (13-3) will now prepare for their challenge against McCurdy (Espanola, NM). The Bobcats come into the 2A District 5 challenge with a 9-6 record.

In their next game, the Hilltoppers battle the Escalante Lobos (Tierra Amarilla, NM) in a non-league challenge, on Tuesday, January 21. Los Alamos will attempt to improve on its 2-14 season record. The Lobos come into the challenge with a 1-14 record after their 45-29 non-league loss to Pecos (Pecos, NM).
