The Orcas Island Vikings basketball squad (Eastsound, WA), was nudged 50-44 in Saturday's non-league battle with the host Lummi Blackhawks (Bellingham, WA)
With the victory, Lummi advances its record to 12-3 on the year. The Blackhawks travel to Lopez (Lopez, WA) to meet the Lobos in a 1B Northwest battle on Monday, January 20. The Lobos enter the battle with a record of 5-2.
The Vikings now own a 8-8 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Darrington for a 1B/2B Northwest battle on Tuesday, January 21. Orcas Island will meet a Loggers squad coming off a 45-30 league loss to Coupeville (Coupeville, WA). The Loggers record now stands at 3-8.
