Spectators at Saturday's league game between the Malad Dragons (Malad, ID) and the visiting Wendell Trojans (Wendell, ID), saw Malad's basketball team bounce Wendell by a tally of 52-24.

The Dragons now possess a 17-1 record. They play next when they travel to West Side for a 3A South East Idaho game on Thursday, January 23. Malad will play a Pirates team coming off a 50-35 league loss to Soda Springs (Soda Springs, ID). The Pirates record now stands at 4-13.

With the loss, Wendell falls to 11-5 on the campaign. The Trojans travel to Wood River (Hailey, ID) to play the Wolverines in a non-league game on Friday, January 24. The Wolverines go into the game with a record of 2-14.
