North Carolina High School Basketball - College Prep & Leadership Academy sneaks past McMichael

The College Prep & Leadership Academy Royals (Jamestown, NC) basketball edged the visiting McMichael Phoenix (Mayodan, NC), 39-36 in Saturday's non-league bout.
The Royals now possess a 6-4 record. They play next when they travel to Bishop McGuinness for a 1A Northwest Piedmont bout on Wednesday, January 22. College Prep & Leadership Academy will play a Villains team coming off a 55-25 league win over Carver (Winston-Salem, NC). The Villains record now stands at 11-0.
With the loss, McMichael falls to 1-11 on the campaign. The Phoenix travel to West Stokes (King, NC) to play the Wildcats in a 2A Mid-State bout on Thursday, January 23. The Wildcats go into the bout with a record of 5-9. West Stokes lost 54-30 in their recent non-league bout against East Surry (Pilot Mountain, NC)
