North Carolina High School Basketball - R.J. Reynolds overwhelmed by Watauga

January 18, 2025: Boone, NC 28607

In Saturday's non-league test, the Watauga Pioneers (Boone, NC) basketball squad trounced the visiting R.J. Reynolds Demons (Winston-Salem, NC), by a score of 71-20.

Next, the Pioneers encounter the Freedom Patriots (Morganton, NC) in a 3A/4A Northwestern test, on Tuesday, January 21. Watauga will attempt to improve on its 10-4 season record. The Patriots come into the test with a 10-6 record after their 51-46 league win over Ashe County (West Jefferson, NC).

The Demons (4-9) will now prepare for their test against Reagan (Pfafftown, NC). The Raiders come into the 4A Central Piedmont test with a 10-5 record. In their last test, Reagan bounced East Forsyth (Kernersville, NC), 42-40, in a league test.
