In Saturday's non-league contest, the host Calvary Christian Warriors basketball team scored a close 62-57 triumph over the St. Petersburg Green Devils.
The Warriors (13-4) will now prepare for their battle against Boca Ciega (Gulfport, FL). The Pirates enter the non-league battle with a 2-7 record. In their last battle, Boca Ciega was nudged by Osceola (Seminole, FL), 66-45, in a non-league battle.
The Green Devils now own a 6-6 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Boca Ciega for a non-league battle on Saturday, January 18. St. Petersburg will meet a Pirates squad coming off a 66-45 non-league loss to Osceola (Seminole, FL). The Pirates record now stands at 2-7.
