The Athens Wildcats topped the host Sayre Redskins basketball team by a final score of 63-53 in Thursday's league game.
In their next game, the Wildcats face the Wellsboro Hornets (Wellsboro, PA) in a Northern Tier game, on Saturday, January 21. Athens will attempt to move on its 10-4 season record. The Hornets enter the game with a 5-3 record after their 51-34 league win over Canton (Canton, PA).
