Milford Bearcats (Milford, IL) backers were in high spirits Thursday as they witnessed their basketball squad thwart the host Beecher Bobcats (Beecher, IL), 72-64 in a non-league bout.

With the win, Milford upgrades its record to 15-7 on the season. The Bearcats host Chrisman (Chrisman, IL) to play the Cardinals in a Vermilion Valley bout on Saturday, January 21. The Cardinals go into the bout with a record of 7-13. Chrisman lost 60-43 in their recent non-league bout against Cerro Gordo/Bement (Cerro Gordo, IL)

Next up, the Bobcats play the Grace Christian Academy Crusaders (Kankakee, IL) in a River Valley bout, on Friday, January 20. Beecher will attempt to upgrade on its 19-2 season record. The Crusaders go into the bout with a 2-12 record after their 58-42 non-league win over Portage Christian (Portage, IN).
