In Thursday's non-league outing, the Liberty Christian Academy Heat (Richlands, NC) basketball squad edged the host Coastal Christian Centurions (Wilmington, NC), by a margin of 49-46.

The Heat (9-3) will now prepare for their outing against Hilltop Christian (Fuquay-Varina, NC). The Chargers go into the NCCSA AA East Region 3 outing with a 15-5 record. In their last outing, Hilltop Christian was tipped by Fellowship Baptist Academy (Durham, NC), 55-37, in a non-league outing.

The Centurions now own a 9-12 record. They play next when they host Fayetteville Academy for a NCISAA Coastal Rivers outing on Friday, January 20. Coastal Christian will clash with a Eagles squad coming off a 99-61 non-league win over Freedom Christian Academy (Fayetteville, NC). The Eagles record now stands at 15-6.
