West Carroll War Eagles (Atwood, TN) backers were in high spirits Thursday as they witnessed their basketball squad thwart the host Gleason Bulldogs (Gleason, TN), 62-53 in a non-league bout.

With the win, West Carroll upgrades its record to 3-10 on the season. The War Eagles travel to Hollow Rock-Bruceton Central (Bruceton, TN) to play the Tigers in a 1A District 12 bout on Friday, January 20. The Tigers go into the bout with a record of 4-13. Hollow Rock-Bruceton Central lost 84-32 in their recent non-league bout against Camden Central (Camden, TN)

Next up, the Bulldogs play the South Fulton Red Devils (South Fulton, TN) in a 1A District 13 bout, on Friday, January 20. Gleason will attempt to upgrade on its 1-13 season record. The Red Devils go into the bout with a 3-9 record after their 60-40 league loss to Bradford (Bradford, TN).
