The Morris Jeff Community Pelicans basketball team scored 69 points and restricted the visiting Haynes Academy to 64 in the Pelicans league victory on Thursday.

The Pelicans now sport a 5-8 record. They put it on the line next when they host Church Point for a non-league contest on Saturday, January 28.

The (5-9) will now prepare for their contest against Fisher (Lafitte, LA). The Gators come into the non-league contest with a 3-6 record.
