The Shawnee Mission Northwest Cougars basketball team scored 71 points and held the host Lee's Summit North Broncos to 47 in the Cougars non-league triumph on Thursday.
The Cougars now sport a 5-3 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to North Kansas City for a non-league contest on Friday, January 20. Shawnee Mission Northwest will battle a Hornets team coming off a 72-36 non-league win over St. Pius X (Kansas City, MO). The Hornets record now stands at 10-5.
The Broncos (6-9) will now prepare for their contest against St. Pius X (Kansas City, MO). The Warriors enter the non-league contest with a 1-9 record. In their last contest, St. Pius X was routed by North Kansas City (North Kansas City, MO), 72-36, in a non-league contest.
